Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1973. She graduated from Tokyo
University of the Arts with M.F.A.She creates her artworks based on fairy
tales, children's stories, and Japanese mythology. Her sensitive and steady
touch on her oil paintings provokes affection for old memories in the
viewer's mind. Her interpretation of animals, which are personified, can be
sometimes viewed as sexy, beautiful, and sometimes even sorrowful. This
unique motif is definitely the key element in appealing toviewers.
Her paintings has been selected for numerous private and public collections.
Toko Yuma's paintings has been exhibited in international art fairs including
the Asian Contemporary Art Fair, in Singapore.
